The Fellowship Advisor works to ensure efficient and accurate fellowship administration on behalf of the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, and supports graduate and professional students and postdoctoral scholars in seeking, applying for, and securing extramural and intramural fellowships.

Betty Omer has worked in education and alternative dispute resolution for the past 12 years where she has been able to support students as they focus on their professional skills and career goals. She received her B.A. in International Security and Conflict Resolution with a minor in Political Science from San Diego State University and her M.A. in Public Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice from CSU Dominguez Hills. She loves to support her community by learning and understanding the intersections of culture and communication while applying her findings to expand equitable practices wherever she goes.
Betty has recently adopted a black lab, who keeps her busy and happy!
