Merkin and Schmidt Fellowship Program Coordinator
Texas-born and California-raised, Carrie joined the GEPA team in April of 2023 as an Assistant in Admissions, tasked with helping coordinate the Masters and Doctoral Commencement ceremonies for that year.  After its conclusion she became a Program Assistant for the Merkin Graduate Fellows Program and the Eric & Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. She became the Coordinator of these programs in February 2024.  In each of these roles she has found the greatest satisfaction building relationships with the innovators of the future and doing her part to help them create that future.
An enthusiastic hiker, Carrie likes to stand on top of tall mountains. Her all-time favorite is the highest mountain in the contiguous United States, Mt. Whitney, closely followed by Mt. Langley and Half Dome.
