Sinai is a San Diego native with roots extending into Tijuana, Mexico. She grew up in the small community of Barrio Logan and was the first in her family to go to college. She has a B.A. in Religious Studies from SDSU and an M.A. in Higher Education Leadership Studies from USD. She joined the Graduate Division in December of 2017 and was ecstatic at the opportunity to work with her two passions: mentoring and first generation college students. She works in conjunction with the Jacobs School of Engineering and the Graduate Division to help coordinate the Sloan Program for doctoral students, as well as the JUMP and TEAM mentoring programs for undergraduates.
Fun fact about Sinai, she loves to swim and volunteers with a nonprofit called, Out of the Boat Swim, that teaches refugee children how to swim!
