OAR² Advisor

  • Provides administrative and programmatic support to Graduate Division's Sloan Scholars Program and Competitive Edge Summer Program
  • Coordinates two year-long retention initiatives for current and incoming graduate students which include a: Graduate Research Affinity Group and Graduate Success Series called, Tides of Belonging
  • Assists in data collection and evaluation of programs
  • Represents the university and graduate departments at outreach and recruitment events
  • Co-Advises to the SACNAS Chapter at UCSD
Sinai is a San Diego native with roots extending into Tijuana, Mexico. She grew up in the small community of Barrio Logan and was the first in her family to go to college in 2009. She has a B.A. in Religious Studies from SDSU with Minors in Communication and Chicano/a/e/x Studies. A M.A. in Higher Education Leadership Studies from USD. An Ed.D in Education from UCSD's JDP with Cal State San Marcos. She joined the Graduate Division in December of 2017 and was ecstatic at the opportunity to work with her two passions: mentoring and first-generation college students. 
Sinai enjoys writing poetry and is a self-published author.
