About Us

OAR² is dedicated to enhancing the participation and success of all students. Our programs and initiatives are designed to make graduate school more accessible to prospective students, and guide admitted students through their transition to graduate school. OAR² also strives to build a strong support system of faculty, staff, and peers to guide graduate and professional students and foster a sense of belonging and community throughout their graduate journey.

OAR² graduate programs and activities are open to all eligible students. OAR² programs and activities do not consider race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, and/or other protected categories as part of the application and selection process.

Background

The office of Outreach, Access, Recruitment, and Retention (written as OAR² or OAR^2, and pronounced as “O-A-R squared”) is housed within the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs.
