Edgar is originally from San Diego and before starting at UC San Diego's Graduate Division in March 2018, he worked at San Diego State University. He’s passionate about helping graduate students realize their full potential and inspiring underrepresented communities to think about a graduate degree as an attainable and valuable tool that will advance their careers to new heights.

I consider myself a binational/bilingual individual. I get to visit our neighbor city of Tijuana, Mexico a few times a month to enjoy the food scene, the arts, or to simply to have conversations with people while enjoying a cup of coffee.
