Profile
Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
I am a third year PhD student in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the University of California, San Diego. I did my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz where I first started research in RNA biology as a freshman. With the guidance of great mentors, four years of research experience, and exposure to the innovation happening in the field, I was inspired to continue research as a PhD student. As a member of the Yeo Lab, I continue to do research in the field of RNA biology and focus on research in the area of post-transcriptional regulation using high-throughput screening and long-read sequencing technologies. During my time in the program, I hope to not only pursue meaningful research but also pay forward the impactful mentorship I have received through outreach and mentorship opportunities. I am thankful to have received the ARCS fellowship which has in many ways helped me pursue these goals and has introduced me to a wonderful community of scientists.
