Ph.D. in Nanoengineering
I received my undergraduate degree in NanoEngineering at UCSD and I am currently developing new vaccines for cancer and infectious diseases using biomimetic nanoparticles as a PhD candidate in the NanoEngineering department. My interest in the field stems from the powerful capability of our immune system to fight off diseases and how we can leverage this natural biological system to explore novel therapies. Nanoparticles offer many distinct advantages that can help enhance the potency and efficacy of current vaccines and research along these lines can ultimately introduce new strategies to activate and educate our immune systems. I'm looking forward to this great learning opportunity, and I'm thankful for the fellowships that have made it possible.
