Profile
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Multi-Scale Biology
I am almost done with my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at UCSD, where I use computational models to investigate the coupling between neuronal morphology and signaling networks. I did my undergraduate degree in Physics at Harvey Mudd College. My interest in the natural world and how it works has motivated me throughout my academic journey. Additionally I wanted to pursue a quality education to make a positive impact on the world. Currently that seems the most likely through using my computational skills to make predictions and model biological systems to better understand disease states and how to treat them. I'm hoping to transition from my PhD into an industry role where I can continue to do research to both further our understanding of the world around us and to positively impact it. I'm grateful for all of the various funding sources, and individuals and organizations that have supported me on my journey.
