Julia Napoli

Graduate Climate Intern - Biological Sciences

Julia is currently a third year PhD student in the school of Biological Sciences at UCSD and is a member of the Lovett-Barron lab. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Julia acquired her Bachelor's degree from Boston College and spent two years doing a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She is happy to be back in her home state of California taking in the San Diego sunshine. When not in the lab, you can find her volunteering in several service organizations like the BUMMP mentorship program, recruitment committee, Biosci student council, or in her new position as an OAR climate intern. Around San Diego, you'll find her catching some waves on her surfboard, rollerskating around Mission Bay, or strolling through a farmer's market looking for ripe avocados.
Julia grew up in a musical family and at one point knew how to play 7 different musical instruments!
