Quincy Lyons

Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Quincy has been a life-long student of science. He attended Arizona State University and would graduate with his bachelors and masters in Biomedical Engineering, where he worked in the Weaver Immunology Lab evaluating cell macroencapsulation in complex hydrogels for the delivery of insulin-producing beta cells to treat type 1 diabetes.

Continuing his interest in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, Quincy is now a graduate student in the Christman Lab at UC San Diego, working with naturally-derived decellularized biomaterials for the treatment of myocardial infarction. His current research projects include optimizing material dosing and delivery modality, as well as characterizing the immune response in MI between males and females.
