Amanda was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and received a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a Black Studies minor from UC Santa Barbara. She was on the cheer team for two years in college while also working as Resident Assistant on-campus for undergraduate students. While working as a Resident Assistant she recognized her passion for enhancing student engagement and building/fostering safe and welcoming communities.
I like to spend my free time at the gym or watching sports, specifically the Buffalo Bills, the Los Angeles Clippers, or Los Angeles Lakers. My family has a deep love for the Lakers so we named our dogs Shaq (English Mastiff) and Kobe (Olde English Bulldog) to match their sizes accordingly.
