After growing up in San Diego, Mary spent 10 years in New England, earning her bachelor's degree at the University of Vermont and her master's degree in Higher Education Administration at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. During her time back east, Mary had the opportunity to work in campus recruiting in the tech industry before transitioning to her work in higher education at the Harvard College Admissions and Financial Aid Office. There, she worked extensively with her team to implement new strategies and technologies in order to streamline and improve the Harvard admissions process for all applicants, staff members, and faculty throughout the entirety of the admissions cycle. Prior to joining GEPA, Mary served as the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising for Warren College at UC San Diego.
After college, Mary worked on a educational farm in Maine to further explore her passion for food systems and sustainable agriculture, and continues to support this passion by visiting her local farmers markets weekly for all of the best seasonal produce!
