Graduate Triton Weeks of Welcome 2022

The Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs and the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) are planning a series of events for new graduate students to introduce you to the UC San Diego campus community. Information will be emailed to new students and posted online as it becomes available.

Join GPSA and your fellow incoming graduate student cohort at Petco Park for a Padres game! Tickets include a $5 Friar Funds voucher to use on food, drink, or merchandise.

GPSA Welcome Happy Hour THIS THURSDAY 9/8/22 @ Dirty Birds in the Prince Center at 5:00pm (immediately after the Graduate Division Orientation Resource Fair)
Join GPSA at Dirty Birds in Price Center for an orientation social hour. Food, drink, and music will be provided!

Some important information to know before you attend the events:
  • You must register for the event via Eventbrite to receive a QR code for entry.
  • You must bring your UCSD graduate student ID to prove your graduate student status for entry. The name on your student ID will be matched with your ticket, so please use the same name when registering.
  • Petco Park will prohibit bags with the exception of single-compartment bags measuring 7” x 10” or smaller, infant and medical bags.
  • There are no in-and-out privileges at GPSA events. Once you leave the venue, you will not be let back in.
  • No transportation is provided to and from the Padres game. However, we encourage attendees to use the Blue Line as a mode of transportation to Petco Park.
  • Any attendee may be asked to leave by GPSA social team members or event security if they do not comply with the posted guidelines or do not meet the student code of conduct (i.e. under the influence, rowdy behavior, etc).
  • You will be required to show the Daily Symptom Checker “Green Thumb” for entrance into the event. If you are an incoming student and have not enrolled in the Daily Symptom Checker system, click here or click here for information on how to do so.
