Materials Science

Over the course of my undergraduate career, I participated in a diverse array of research projects concerning topics ranging from seismic modeling to energy storage, to advanced aerospace composites. Through this exposure to research, I was able to discover my passion for developing renewable energy technologies for a sustainable future. In August 2020, I joined UCSD's Solar Energy Innovation Lab (SOLEIL) headed by Dr. David Fenning where I am working to engineer photoactive catalysts for the light-driven reduction of carbon dioxide to useful products. While pursuing my Ph.D. at UCSD, I hope to push the needle on technologies that will eventually be critical in a carbon-neutral global infrastructure. I am generously supported by the Katzin Prize as well as the Sloan Foundation.
