David Trautman

Education

David is a PhD student in Education Studies at UCSD. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, he served as a teacher, administrator, and consultant in California public district and charter schools. David’s research interests revolve around public school district leadership and governance, and more specifically, organizational systems and structures that support transformational school leadership. In his academic work, he intends to explore how the intersectional identities of individual agents interact with larger institutional structures in educational organizations, bringing together scholarly traditions in critical race theory, organizational behavior, and leadership studies.
