Profile
Katherine Izhikevich (UC San Diego B.S. '22, M.S. '24) is a Stephen L. Squires Scholar, Gary C. Reynolds Scholar, and Computer Science PhD Department Fellow at UC San Diego. Her research interests lie at the intersection of networking and security, primarily studying how to prevent and detect attackers in enterprise networks. She recently presented her work on securing cloud assets at the 2024 IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy in Vienna, Austria, and will serve on the 2025 IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy Program Committee in Venice, Italy. Her research, published in IMC, ICER, Science, Sigmetrics, and EuroS&P, was honored with the 2024 UCSD CSE Masters Award for Excellence in Research, recognizing her contributions to computing. She currently has two papers under submission at networking and security conferences, with three other research projects underway.
