Graduate Triton Weeks of Welcome 2021

The Graduate Division and the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) are planning a series of events for graduate students to introduce you to the UC San Diego campus community. Information will be emailed to new students and posted online as it becomes available.

Incoming Graduate Student and Faculty Resource Fair

The Graduate Division is hosting a campus resource fair for new students and faculty on Wednesday, September 8th 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Town Square, which is at the corner of Rupertus Ln and Myers Dr (View on Google Maps). This event will be hosting many resources that are available to you during your experience at UC San Diego. The resources represented range from academic and student life to healthcare resources and more. We look forward to welcoming you to UC San Diego and providing you with an opportunity to see all the resources the campus has to offer!  Stay tuned after the event for a club fair hosted by GPSA, which will run 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Town Square.

Upcoming GPSA Events

GPSA is hosting a Club Fair on Wednesday September 8th 5:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. at Town Square (View on Google Maps). Various graduate student clubs will be present to answer your questions and provide information regarding their clubs and their missions on campus. We highly encourage you to attend this valuable and informative event so that you can start the year off strong, knowing how to get involved with the various student organizations and clubs on campus!

The GPSA is hosting a Welcome Back Pool Party at the Mesa Nueva Pool and Rough Draft on September 9th at 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. It is open to all graduate students. 

GPSA is also hosting a Happy Hour at Dirty Birds in Price Center. It is part of their bi-weekly Happy Hour series and is open to all graduate students.

Food and drink is provided at these events. Student and government ID's required for entry. 

Upcoming International Student Programs Office Events

ISPO is hosting a virtual Getting Involved As A Graduate Student Event on Thursday September 9th, 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m.

They are also hosting a virtual International Graduate Student Social on Wednesday, September 15th, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Upcoming Instructional Assistant Events


Will you be an Instructional Assistant (IA- includes TAs, Instructional Apprentices, Tutors, Readers) this coming year? Join us at the IA Teaching Symposium on Wednesday, Sept 22nd with a fantastic opening webinar and panel session about being an IA in current times, and then attend synchronous Foundational “IA 101” workshops with need-to-know strategies directly related to your role as an Instructional Assistant.
