Florenz started working at UC San Diego as a student worker at the Bookstore. After earning her B.A. in Literature, she joined the Temporary Employment Services pool and worked assignments at Muir College, Graduate and Family Housing, and then finally the Graduate Division, first as a temp and now as permanent staff starting in May 2021.

Florenz adopted her first pet during quarantine, a ragdoll cat named Lucy, who spends most of the workday asleep on her lap.
