Job Duties

Kristi MacKenzie provides support and collaborates with partners in the planning, appraisal, analysis, and implementation of self-supporting programs by managing consultations and tracking the progress of proposals and program development.

Profile

Kristi joined UC San Diego in 2015 as the Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Psychology. She has dedicated her career to supporting undergraduate students, with professional experience spanning Housing, Greek Life, Judicial Affairs, and student organizations. In her most recent career pivot, Kristi has focused on process improvement and operational excellence, earning Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts, along with certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

She currently serves on the Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Women, contributing to initiatives that promote equity and advancement across campus.

Kristi has lived in six states—Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, and California. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in Ocean Beach with her dogs, Lilly Belle and Comet, and her partner, Byrne.

Fun Fact

A devoted college football fan, Kristi spends her fall Saturdays cheering on the University of Michigan Wolverines. She has visited more than 18 college football stadiums across the country.
