  • Oversees the Merkin Graduate Fellowship Program
Giulia has worked in higher education for 14 years, 10 of which have been in roles supporting graduate students. She received her B.A. in History from UC San Diego and Ph.D. in English from UC Riverside, where she worked in the Graduate Division before beginning her career at UC San Diego. She is an avid supporter of graduate education and career diversity, having advised graduate students on their career and professional development in the Career Center prior to beginning her role in the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs. Giulia is also passionate about study and research abroad opportunities for graduate students.
Giulia has traveled to 19 countries and lived in England for 3 years; London is her favorite city.
