Questioning Career: Designing the Life You Want

This popular five-session series empowers graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to clarify their career path and create the life they want. With an experienced team of facilitators from Counseling and Psychological Services, workshops include a variety of dynamic exercises and valuable assessment tools proven to increase confidence in making career choices congruent with one’s personality, values, and strengths. Participants are expected to commit to all five sessions throughout the quarter. There is a fee of $15 to cover a portion of the assessments and course materials.

The group was helpful in providing a vocabulary to enumerate my values and skills as they pertain to potential career choices.
This group guided me to think about my values, personality traits, and my interests in a structured and progressive way. I loved having 1.5 hour each week to stop and reflect on my week, which I could do on my own but rarely do. Talking with other group members helped me to understand others' concerns and their different perspectives on how to resolve their concerns.
The group created a safe and welcoming space where these kinds of questions could be brought up in a non-judgmental environment….
This is a great resource to have at the university level.

2018 sessions: Wednesdays, January 24 - February 21 (5 sessions) from 10:30am to 12pm.
