Examination Scores

Graduate applicants are required to submit GRE scores for most departments and full consideration of the admission application can take place only after all required documents have been received

Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores

Most departments require GRE scores. Applicants are advised to take the GRE in the fall prior to the fall term for which admission is sought. Full consideration of the admission application can take place only after all required documents including test scores have been received. Some programs require additional tests or other alternatives. Check your department to determine which tests are required.

Official GRE score reports must be sent to UC San Diego's institution code 4836. Electronic GRE score reports are sent to the university two to four weeks after the test is administered.
